John Melody, one half of John Russell Brewing Company, hails from Dungarvan, Ireland.

Ireland is famous for stout, particularly Guinness, so to pay homage to his hometown we brewed, “Dungarvan, My Hometown” Irish Stout. The name comes from a song which is often sung in the pubs of Abbeyside & Dungarvan! My home by the sea! Dungarvan is the Sister City of Erie, PA. Many people from the southeast of Ireland have visited & been educated in Erie & the ability to represent both towns with a stout is an honor & a priviledge!
