Just a Quick Czech in...
The old saying goes that March comes “in like a Lion and out like a Lamb”, but up here March came in like a Lion and out with a giant party that packed this place!
Congratulations to Kerriann and Mike Weese, the winners of the 2026 Passport to Win trip to Ireland! What an absolutely fantastic night up here at John Russell Brewing Company. We sold over 230 pints of Guinness and Guinness variants, gave away 5 consolations prizes, collected 260 passports (before bonus entries) AND we sent “Stout-standing” out of the building with style! A huge thank you to Erie Beer, the management teams of all our locations, the Brewery staff, and of course the staff of the corporate office for their hard work and the energy they put into making this giveaway everything it has turned into over the last few years. Thank you, our loyal guests, for visiting more than one location in a day, coming in week after week, and for being so much fun during the whole event. Turns out that Saint Patrick’s Day is 3 months long when you celebrate with John Russell Hospitality.
While the Ireland Soccer game did not have the results that John was hoping for, we still had a full house and a great time. The ripple printer has been a fun addition to all of our events over these past few months, and to those of you who ended up with a Russ, we hope you enjoyed your prize.
“Czech out these...” our newest release, has been receiving positive ratings and reviews both in store and on Untappd. Keep an eye out for it at all of our locations in the coming weeks. There are more new beers on the way, just in time for Memorial Day weekend. I will share more about those with you next month, because they haven’t even hit the fermentation tanks yet. We are pretty confident that our summer beer lovers will be pleased with what we’ve come up with.
Speaking of Summer, warm weather and sunshine; our spring drink and features menus are rolling out and we have a lot of delicious things for you to try. The patio is being prepped for warm evenings of sitting outside, the corn hole boards are ready, and soon the plants will be out and ready to help you soak up the sunshine. Spring and Summer in Erie are beautiful and luckily we have a lot of beers up here to help keep you hydratedwhile you enjoy them.
Things up on the hill keep on rolling as we prepare for the summer change of guard. We have some staff that will be heading home for the summer while others are returning. It is our hope that no matter what time of year you come to visit there is a friendly face to greet you at the door or tableside. Here is to hoping that the coldest thing that April brings is beer from the Taps at JRBC!
